About Us!
Church of the Good Shepherd, Colombo 05 belongs to the Anglican community, of the Diocese of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Our church has been a landmark at the Jawatte/ Thimbirigasyaya junction. We will be celebrating our 150th Anniversary in 2017.
Our vision for our church is;
'A growing family of Spirit-filled followers of Jesus Christ
inspiring all Sri Lankans to find their life-purpose in God'
Our mission for our church is;
'To reach out to all Sri Lankans for Jesus,
confirm their faith in the Trinity and nurture them to achieve Christ-like maturity.'
As a worshipping community, we are a family-oriented church that believes in God’s love for all. We believe that all can find peace and joy in God’s Son, Jesus Christ.We also believe that we have been called to become a Beacon of Faith, Hope and Love in our Community.
As we continue to work for the community in our neighbourhood and link parish missions, we prayerfully inspire further commitment to pastoral work among our parish organizations and church members.
